Tagaytay City is the Philippines' second summer capital, next to Baguio. The accessing highway offers a breathtaking sight of the world famous Taal formation, a crater within an island within a lake. Tagaytay City (population 16,322) is about 60 km / 37 miles south of Manila in the mountains of Cavite Province. Tagaytay is a city of scenic contrasts .Wildflowers line paved winding roads, panoramic views of the Taal Volcano nestled in Taal Lake, and orchards of fresh home grown fruits, all amidst modern convenient facilities and amenities including the Casino Filipino Tagaytay.

How to reach?

By bus or auto - 1 hour drive from Manila. You can hire what's called an "FX" (a taxi like van with air-con as the locals call air conditioners,). The entrance of Tagaytay City, just about 20 minutes from the Santa Rosa exit. Alternatively you can take the coastal road through Imus, Dasmarinas and Silang Cavite. Though this route takes longer and has more traffic, there's lots of sights to see along the way.
