(EN) Work & Travel USA

Hey student! It’s your chance to see the United States next summer! "Work and Travel USA" program allows you to  work and travel legally in the USA up to 4 months during summer break. After earning some money, you can travel to every place you’ve seen in the movies!

Get ready to meet locals and dive into the American culture by working in a customer service. Improve your English skills and impress your future employers with international experience gained in the USA.

Requirements for participants:

  • 18-28 y.o. 
  • At least intermediate knowledge of English
  • To be a full-time student of University or College in Lithuania 
  • Non-EU countries` students need to have a valid Temporary Residence Permit card (TRP)
  • Non-EU countries` students need to pay for the next year school semester (Fall) before visa interview

 

Students being on a Gap year or graduating in January/February, 2025 can not participate in the program. 

 

Program options:

  • Self-Placement  (participant finds a job offer by himself/herself) - 975 USD
  • Job-Placement (participant chooses a job offer from sponsor's database/job fairs and attends interviews) - 1275 USD

 

The program price includes:

  • Information about the program;
  • Selection of participants and interviews;
  • Preparation of all necessary documents for J-1 visa; 
  • Health insurance

 

What is not included?

  • Registration fee - 30 Eur (non-refundable);
  • SEVIS fee Students Exchange Visitors Information System - 35 USD (non-refundable);
  • Visa fee - 185 USD (non-refundable);
  • Return flight tickets - from 700 USD to both sides. We strongly recommend to buy flight tickets only after the U.S visa is issued;
  • Pocket money until your first paycheck in the USA - 800-1000 USD.

 

The procedure of program:

  • The participant fills out a registration form and pays a non-refundable fee of 30 EUR;

  • The program participant signs an Agreement, pays the first initial fee within 7 days and presents  additional necessary documents;

  • Participants of the Self-Placement program find a job and presents a signed employment contract along with the remaining program and SEVIS fees. In 2-4 weeks the sponsor does a vetting process of the employer in the US;

  • Participants of the Job-Placement program look for a job in the sponsor's database. A job offer is confirmed with signatures, after payment of the remaining program and SEVIS fees;

  • After the sponsor approves the workplace of the program participant, a DS-2019 form is issued, which is required to obtain a J-1 visa;

  • Participants fill out the necessary documents to obtain a J-1 visa. "ZIP Travel" helps to register for an interview at the US Embassy in Vilnius, but participants have to attend an interview in person;

  • After receiving the visa, participants purchase plane tickets to and from the US.
